Grilled corn on the cob

Grilled corn on the cob

Time for another BBQ classic: grilled corn on the cob! A delicious side dish that’s grilled in less than no time. These yellow bad boys are served in many BBQ restaurants all over the world. And we completely understand why, since the sweet corn makes for a perfect combination with the savory goodness of, for instance, spare ribs or a juicy steak.

We slowly cooked the cobs with a big pat of butter and some chili powder, wrapped in aluminum foil. The chili powder gives this dish quite a nice kick! By cooking the cobs in aluminum foil, the corn will steam its way to perfection in its own fluids and will remain nice and juicy! You can serve this classic as a side dish to, for example, a good old steak, or you can use it to prepare other recipes with. For instance, we used a bit for appetizing Mexican quesadillas.

Preparation

Preparation

Approx. 5 mins

Remove the husks and silks and rinse the cobs with water.
Place a large piece of aluminum foil on the work surface and place the corn on the cob on top of this.
Sprinkle the cob with chili powder and add the butter on top of it.
Now fold the foil around the cob and prepare your BBQ for indirect grilling at approximately 356°F (180°C).

Preparation

Approx. 50 mins

Place the wrapped cobs on the indirect side of the BBQ and close the lid. It takes a while until the butter has fully melted and the corncobs have cooked in their own liquids. Our cobs took about 50 minutes to cook.

Carefully unwrap the cobs, cut the corn from the cobs or eat the corn while it is still on the cob!
Enjoy!
